The Summer Palace, an imperial garden in the Qing Dynasty of China, was originally named Qingyi Yuan or the Garden of Clear Ripples. It is located in western Beijing, 15 kilometers away from the urban
area. Covering an area of about 290 hectares, it is contiguous to the Old Summer Palace.
