The TINDAiR project was a European SESAR Joint Undertaking initiative to demonstrate the safe integration of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) users, such as drones and eVTOLs, into controlled airspace alongsi
de manned aircraft. It focused on developing and testing tactical deconfliction services—ways to prevent and resolve collisions—in complex urban environments like Toulouse and Bordeaux, France. The project successfully conducted large-scale demonstrations in 2022, involving various aircraft types, and tested an AI-based tactical deconfliction service module to support the future U-Space system.
